Mended: Book Club Intro

Published

on

Hi Friends. Ashleigh here.

I’m excited to announce that on October 5th we start our second book in our Ungrind Book Club.

A book club fits Ungrind’s purpose perfectly. It’s our desire to churn out weekly encouragement that helps you, as Colossians 1:10 says, “to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of Him.” A great way to do this is to engage with one another in discussion.

Our fall selection is Mended: Pieces of a Life Made Whole by Angie Smith. This book was released by B&H Publishing earlier this month.

This fall, Mended will take us “on a journey to show how faith lived in the regular events of daily life is all that it takes to be a part of creating God’s picture of redemption in your life and those around you. Your life does make a difference — because of how He is magnified in the cracks.” I’m excited about all we’ll learn in the pages of this book.

To find out more about Mended, here’s the book’s trailer:

To join our book club, simply purchase a copy of the book and participate on our site. We’ll post thoughts and questions each week. The book is available in paperback and Kindle.

Here are the dates each chapter discussion starts. Watch for our posts on these dates.

  • October 12th: Chapters 3-5

What Women Are Saying

"Ungrind speaks to women who yearn to look beyond the surface and get to the heart of life; whose purposes and loves are eternal. Their articles are practical, spiritual, and encouraging. In a world of shiny treasures that will corrode before we can blink, Ungrind helps us focus on the things that matter -- remembering that we are, first and foremost, women of God."
